You may need to make an appointment before you visit some bridal shops.

Also Please note that a 50% deposit is required for most dresses.

Even when your dress arrives it still may have to be altered as they are generally ordered in the size closest to your measurements, the dress shop should have a dressmaker who can do this either free of charge or at a reasonable rate.  Don't be disappointed when your dress arrives too big or too small.
